He Says, She Says

Today’s topic is one that is close to my heart and it is one of the biggest problems that couple’s face. This is true for both new couples and especially old couples that have been together for a long time.  The single biggest mistake that puts a wedge in a couple’s relationship is arguments. Specifically, unresolved arguments.

Hi, I’m Andrew from the Foolish Couple.

For decades, all I remember about my parents are their arguments. Throughout my childhood, I don’t think there was actually a single day that my parents did not have a fight. What they fought about was always something very trivial. But as a kid, I thought that it was normal for couples to argue all the time.

The fighting, arguments, and the bickering never stopped until more than 4 decades later. And that was when my dad’s Parkinson’s got some bad that we had to put him into a senior assisted living home so that he can get the proper nursing care that...

What Story are You Telling Yourself?

HI I'm Andrew from the Foolish Couple.

Today we are going to talk about the Thoughts and Beliefs that you tell yourself.

In the Success Principles by Jack Canfield, who is the author of the Chicken Soup of the Soul book series, he talks about 68 principles of success. And you can take these principles and apply them to all areas of your life and they will ALWAYS work. Whether you want to improve your career, your finances, your relationships, your health or your contributions. Whatever they are, these Success Principles will work for everyone every time.

As long as you work the principles, the principles will work for you.

You see, you are creating your experiences, your success, the quality of your relationships, and your health by your thoughts and beliefs (beliefs are no more than thoughts you have conditioned yourself to think over and over), the visual images you focus on (internally and externally), the resulting emotions they create, and your...

Cancer Trends for the Younger Generation

diabetes kids Jun 20, 2019

Hi Its Andrew from the Foolish Couple.

The other day I talked about, how the younger generation is getting chronic conditions earlier and earlier.

Diabesity, or people who are obese and diabetic, is now becoming an epidemic problem with the younger generation.

A recent study shows that people aged 25-49 is at higher risk for certain types of cancer than people over 50. These cancers are showing up earlier in life, affecting their quality of life. And these statistics get worse for the next younger generation.

You are seeing younger and younger children that are not just slightly overweight but obese. According to the CDC, the percentage of children and adolescents affected by obesity has more than tripled since the 1970s. When I was growing up, there may be 1 fat kid in class. Nowadays 1 out of every 5 kids is overweight or obese.

In the past, next generations always lived longer than older generations due to new advances in medical technology and drugs.

When Should You Start to Worry About Longevity?

Hi its Andrew from the Foolish Couple.

I get asked all the time, what is the best age to start worrying about my longevity.

Longevity refers to your physical health, mental health, energy, vibrancy and freedom of mobility.

This week we are sharing our 1-week liver cleanse for Clearer skin, leaner body and no cravings to friends and family. But the cleanse is so much more.

It’s the first step towards longevity and preventing Chronic illnesses.

Chronic illnesses are no longer an old person disease. It used to be that you don’t get Chronic conditions such as depression, psychotic conditions, hyperactivity, hypertension, high cholesterol, Crohn’s disease/ulcerative colitis and type II diabetes until you are older like 60 years and older.

However, that is no longer the case, millennials born between early 80’s to mid 90’s are besieged by chronic illness, with 54% of the generation's respondents reporting that they've been diagnosed...

Imagine this. You are sick, and you are broke. The only free exercise you can get is to walk along the beach. You go to the beach and start walking. With your luck, high tide comes in and your feet get wet. But, wait, what’s that? Something shiny  washes up the beach and lands right at your feet.

You bend down and pick it up. It looks like an antique. Maybe it’s worth something, but it's so filthy that you rub it with your hand to get a better look. And “POOF”. A genie comes out.

But not the genie that you see in...

Keto Recipe - Blueberry Coconut Pancakes

Uncategorized May 25, 2019

We normally don't eat breakfast. And when we do 'break our fast', we'd try to make something that will keep us energized through the day.

You may have noticed that when you eat a heavy breakfast filled with processed carbohydrates and sugars, your day is pretty much ruined. Eating traditional pancakes made with processed flour would leave you feeling sleepy, sluggish, and unsatisfied.

Therefore, we come up with our own version of keto-friendly, gluten-free pancakes. Simply replace processed white flour with coconut flour, and substitute white sugar with zero-calorie monkfruit sweetener.

The results are amazing, fluffy, tasty pancakes that keeps you satisfied, your gut happy and your energy level elevated.

Here's the recipe:

Always running late? You are costing others $$$$$

To celebrate with our fans, we will be delivering more concise, mini-blogs every weekend that showcases our success blueprint.

The focus of our mini-blogs is on Time and Health, the 2 things that cannot be bought in life.

This week, I was mildly surprised when I went into my meeting room and the attendees were already there, with 2 minutes to spare.

I am always a few minutes early to my meetings, especially the ones that I am hosting, and if I need to set up my laptop to project or to dial into cloud conferencing.

However, I have noticed that most people "choose" to be late. They start their day a few minutes late to work, then a few minutes late to their first meeting, a few more minutes late to their second. Take a few more minutes for lunch and they are now severely late for their...

Which type of people are you?

We're pleased to be the recipient of the Best of Newark Award in the Nutrition and Success Coach category 4 years in a row.

To celebrate with our fans, we will be delivering more concise, mini-blogs every weekend that showcases our success blueprint.

To start off, here's a couple of questions for all of you:

Are you the type of person who would trade your Time for Money (in addition to your job, do you scrub your own toilets, wash your own laundry, mow your own lawn, and do other chores that you don't enjoy doing, because you'd rather do it yourself than pay someone to do the chores)?

Or are you the type of person who would trade Money for Time (hire people to cut your grass, wash your car, clean your house, answer customer service calls, etc) because you realize that your time is worth more than what you are paying for their services?

Which type of people do you think are more successful, wealthy, and healthy?

Which type of people...

Keto Recipe - Cacao Avocado Blueberry Banana Bread

Uncategorized May 11, 2019

We love banana bread. Fresh out of the oven, the sweet aroma, the captivating smell of banana and butter, gives us a warm, fuzzy feeling.

But we don't like the sugar spike that comes with it. More often than not, we use bananas that are too ripe. Ripened bananas has heightened sugar levels compare to the not-so-ripe ones.

And then there's the flour and the sugar that we add into the mixture. White flour and white sugar (pretty much all white powdery foods) are high in sugars and causes our blood glucose to spike. Which, unfortunately, also causes diabetes.

So the short term satisfaction of that warm banana bread will have a long term detrimental effect on our health.

And we don't want that, do we?

But we still want the banana bread ....

So we modify the recipe. And it comes out better than the original recipe. This one uses keto, low carb ingredients, and it keeps our glucose level stable (we know, we've tested it on ourselves).

Here's the moist and yummy recipe:
